Abby grew up in the mountains of Western North Carolina where she played for Xcel Volleyball Club under the now current Assistant Coach for the University of Pittsburgh women's volleyball team, Kellen Petrone.
Abby attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a full academic scholarship where she graduated in 2016 with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and Chemistry.
While attending UNC, Abby founded CHAOS in 2013 to provide a different volleyball atmosphere in comparison the larger clubs in the area. During her first year, her team earned a bid to Girls Junior Nationals in Minneapolis. Since the first year, the club has grown to numerous indoor teams, hosting AVP Grass Tournaments, and expanding into the Charlotte Area with indoor and beach.
Outside of running CHAOS, Abby coached at Carrboro High School where the team won back to back 2A State Championships with a 61-0 record in 2016 and 2017. In 2017, Carrboro was ranked by Prep Volleyball as the 78th best high school team in the nation. In 2018 she spent her time as the Volunteer Assistant at NC State University under current Temple University coach Linda Hampton-Keith. In 2019, she officially relocated to the Raleigh area and began coaching at South Granville High School as she pursued a teaching career. While at South Granville, the team won back to back conference championships without losing a match. She coached the Conference Player of the Year, Conference Defensive Player of the Year, and was selected as Coach of the Year. In 2021, she relocated to Charlotte where she began coaching and teaching at Cox Mill High School. While running the club from a distance she coached a regional team at CUVC. She currently works as a fourth grade teacher at Lakeshore Elementary in Mooresville, NC and is the Volleyball Program Director at Cannon School.
